Some download better than others, but I'm basically just keeping track of the total amounts in those accounts and not too worried about much else. For instance, I have some annuity accounts that I have to manage manually in Quicken, but Mint downloads from them. It downloads automatically and has a lot of different financial institutions that it connects to. Mint is pretty much set it and forget it. You can also customize and add categories as you need in Mint. I use a LOT of tags in Mint to differentiate tax status and what schedule they go to. Personal Capital can take months for them to fix (I have an issue now with my main checking account and it's been a nightmare.still not fixed for a month). When something is broken it takes a few days for Mint support to fix it (usually).

Because it doesn't do what it's intended to do. And that Quicken Mac is a great product for most people. Yet the asshat superusers keep insisting that the product manager has assured them it will be added. No way to account for any retirement transfers as income in your budget.ДЇive effing years already.and still no progress. No way to account for the principal part of your mortgage in your budget.

The Quicken Mac version is a sorry excuse for a personal finance software product.ДЇive years and counting and you still can't exclude or include transfers in your budget.

They won't allow any criticism of their product.even though it's crap. I made a disparaging remark regarding several problems with Quicken Mac.and got banned from posting ever again. If they can't fix it, they report the bug/problem and usually it get's fixed in the next maintenance release. Customizable calendar view.ДЄnd great chat support where you can chat with someone actually in the US and doesn't take forever to get connected to. Has Scheduled Transactions and Reminders. Supports Dark Mode, has Workspaces where you can have multiple windows open side by side. It has everything that Quicken Mac has and more. Sync to your mobile device actually works 100% of the time without corrupting your data or creating duplicates. Budget is easier to create, visually better to view, accurate. So I just download the transaction file and import it into Banktivity.

I only have one account that would require Banktivity's Direct Access, which I refuse to pay.

Direct Connect and Web Connect downloads are free forever as are security price downloads. Optional fee to download transactions via Direct Access, which is the same as Quicken Connect. If you're looking for a Mac alternative, Banktivity 7 is a great product. Online customer support is controlled by pedantic, zealous, snarky trolls that don't work for Quicken and are best portrayed in an SNL skit about 20 years about the inarticulate snobs in IT.I haven't checked them yet for other failures, but I'm going to discard them because I trust Quicken to have screwed this up royally. The timelines on saved reports are off by 2 years. The icon appears to indicate something is missing. If your saved reports are on the task bar that is below the standard menus, the icons changed for reports to an icon that looks like something is wrong.Bills and income: Accounts in good standing are marked overdue by months.Bills and Income: Accounts that I deleted over a year ago are showing up as overdue.Quicken still does not document the product, probably because if they had a doc team, the doc team would be strangling fools in the halls. You'll have to dig around to find each one.

There is no guide to restore the lost preferences.

Quicken doesn't care, they will not be changing this. This is a consistent bug every time you upgrade. Anything you've done to customize displays and pages is probably lost and you'll have to do it again. I upgraded from 2016 yesterday and so far are the bugs:

As happens 100 percent of the time, there are numerous bugs in Windows Quicken 2019 exposed on the upgrade from another year.
